Sinopsis Singkat.

Jumong merupakan cerita sejarah yang awalnya ditayangkan di stasiun televisi MBC di Korea selatan. Drama ini awalnya berakhir pada episode 60, namun karena kepopulerannya MBC memutuskan untuk memperpanjangnya menjadi 81 episod. Serial Drama ini menangkat cerita hidup dari Jumong Taewang, (seorang pendiri kerajaan Goguryeo). Karena hanya sedikit detail sejarah yang ditemukan mengenai Jumong, MBC memutuskan untuk lebih memperkaya sisi artistiknya. Banyak sekali mitos-mitos yang terkait dengan Jumong diganti dengan cerita-cerita yang lebih realistik, seperti kelahiran bayi yang mempunyai banyak mitos pada zaman dahulu.Jumong yang ditayangkan di stasiun televisi MBC korea selatan mulai tanggal 15 April 2006 ini rata-rata mencapai rating 40,98% di Korea Selatan. Selain itu, Jumong juga ditayangkan di 9 negara di luar Korea Selatan.
